Correspondence

Write to the house.

Acquisition begins with a letter, as it has since 1854. Say who you are, where the clock would hang, and what it should keep time over. The house reads every letter, and Elias answers each one by hand.

A town and a country are enough.

There is no form to follow. Write as you would to a person; you are.

The letter leaves from your own hand — sending opens your mail, addressed to the house.

Replies within three days. The house accepts three commissions a year.
